On a bicycle, I've whizzed past hundreds of miles of cornfields in Iowa, zig-zagged up and down San Francisco's Mt. Tamalpais, meandered along Florida's sunny beach towns, explored the renaissance of a new Detroit from Belle Isle to the Motown Museum, and even traveled the "White Rim" back country of Utah's Canyonlands for four days. 

 

All in all, my perfect night in is Netflix, a spicy "ginger beer 'n' bourbon," and Southern-style biscuits with vegetarian sausage patties and pimiento cheese spread. And my perfect day out is getting lost on a sweaty adventure into the great, wild yonder and beyond.
