blogs & articles

My communications team and I wrote, published, and maintained content for blogs dedicated to the National Symphony Orchestra, Washington National Opera, and The Suzanne Farrell Ballet.

Here and there, I would also get the opportunity to interview artists and write ad-hoc feature-length articles for publication in our Playbill magazine, on our website, or as exclusive content on partner platforms.

Suzanne Farrell's Notes from the Ballet

This is one of my proudest accomplishments: I ghost-wrote a decade’s worth of “insight articles” by the ballerina legend, who was the artistic director of the Kennedy Center's ballet company. To thank me, Suzanne offered me a short but pivotal role in one of her ballets as a gangster, who luckily doesn't dance but rather tries to shoot the lead dancer from the Opera House audience!

Several of the articles were narrated by Suzanne for a series of podcasts, and they were also incorporated into social media, brochures, and PR materials. When the company danced its final performances, all my blog articles became a glossy, commemorative book sold in the Gift Shop.
