my tech skills, then & now

My skills run the gamut from Final Cut Pro for video editing, to Wordfly for email marketing, to HootSuite for social media, to Drupal for content management, to Robohead for project tracking, to Access for database development. I also built my portfolio website here using Jimdo, a UK-based platform similar to WordPress.

Check out the programs I've learned and mastered over the years below. A couple of them are now defunct - but I still have fond memories of those blasts from the past!

database development, project management, and training

Microsoft Access

Prior to migrating to SQL Server, I was the sole architect, designer, and training point of contact for Chadwyck-Healey's company-wide product acquisition, tracking, and publishing system. Following a one-day course on Access, I taught myself how to leverage the program to develop a more sophisticated tool for licensing copyrights, scanning materials, inputting specifications, defining content attributes, and monitoring royalty payouts for the company's digital product lines.

Robohead

I spearheaded the architecting, design build, and training for the adoption of Robohead as the Kennedy Center's new organization-wide marketing project review and tracking platform in 2018. Working directly with our vendor contacts, I...

  • Interviewed, gathered, identified, and prioritized requirements across the organization
  • Charted the intricacies of the communication chain to, from, and within every department
  • Hands-on engineered the project workflow in the platform to match discoveries and needs
  • Created all input templates, project taxonomies, and report views for different user types
  • Directed team testing sprints and regrouped to fine-tune process and resolve anomalies
  • Requested rolling feature enhancements and data linking from Robohead developers
  • Drafted and maintained technical documentation with screen-shot visuals and examples
  • Determined and set various levels of internal/external administrator and end-user access
  • Led over 300 staff members in large groups through step-by-step education on the platform over a six-month period
  • Served as the point of contact for user questions, additional training, and further streamlining once the initial deployment was complete
